You can take an application (working on 1.3) that has some non empty ViewHints, then move the content of the ViewHint into the model with the same name, and delete the ViewHints class.
Example: UserHints > Hobo::ViewHints children :foo, :bar end Move "children :foo, :bar" in User model Delete user_hints Repeat the process with all the other ViewHints classes Delete the viewhints dir cleanup complete NOTICE. An old 1.3 app with viewhints will not run since now Hobo::ViewHints has been renamed Hobo::Model::ViewHints.
