Hi guys, new Hobo user here. Please forgive the basic question and
indulge me if you could.
First up, I have a parent object with 3 children. I've set it all up
by following the start of the Agility tutorial and a few other bits
here and there. So you click on the parent object and you see a list
of cards for the children in the main view for the first and the
sidebar for the other 2. All good.
Add the auto_actions_for bit into the parent model so you can create
the children objects from the parent's show page. All good for the 1st
child, but the new links didn't show for the other 2 in the sidebar.
No worries, I delve into application.dryml and sort it out.
But now, for only one of the children objects, when I click the new
link in the parent's show page the new page's form is empty. It's got
the correct headings, but there's no form.
I've checked the pages.dryml and the code is there. Here's what it
looks like:
<section param="content-body">
<form owner="trade_system" method="post" param>
<field-list: skip="trade_system"/>
<submit: label="#{ht
'conditions.actions.create', :default=>['Create Condition']}"/>
</form>
</section>
I've double checked the model and controller files for each of the 3
children and they all have identical parameters. I also ran the
migration again but it says the model matches the db schema.
I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?
Thanks
PS For any hobo devs reading - what I've seen of Hobo so far is
brilliant. Bit of a jump from the magic in the controllers and models
to dryml for the views but once it clicks it's fantastic! I've
recreated my old Rails app almost back to full functionality in the
space of a day. It took me 2 weeks to build it in Rails. Well done!
