I learned Hobo from the 1.0 tutorials, and have made the transition from referring mostly to the tutorials to referring mostly to the documentation and source code. The transition was difficult, mostly around the controllers and DRYML (though this list has been very helpful). I think the transition would have been eased by adding a tutorial on controller customization, for instance adding conditions to the find in a hobo_index , and one with some more DRYML customization. Also, something that still confuses me is what is best practice for where to put view code. When is it best to rewrite tag defs in application.dryml, when is it best to extend them in views, and when is it best to use them with parameters in views? These could just be where I had trouble though - hard to say if other people would have completely different issues.
