I've been using Hobo for almost a year now, and I've consistently been
impressed by its power and flexibility. I'd like to contribute in some way,
and one need I see is a regular (or semi-regular) screencast of Hobo examples.
Whenever I have a question about how to do something in Rails, I look first to
see if there is a screencast. As a teacher (I teach high school in suburban
Boston) I've made a number of screencasts for my students. I think the
Hobo book is excellent, and screencasts would add another layer on top of that
to help people get started. If there seems to be interest in such a project, I
would proceed by making a few introductory screencasts. The imminent release
of 1.3 seems like a good place to start, and I would base screencasts on the
1.3 (and later) releases.

To make these as useful as possible I would need a few knowledgeable people to
look over scripts and code examples to make suggestion for changes before I
produce the videos. I'm imagining one every two weeks or so. I'd also be
happy to get suggestions for topics to cover in screencasts. Part of the
project would be to make a website with links to resources and references to
sections of the book.

Let me know what you think.
