Ok I did the above but the last_update in ApplicationController is still
failing. I don't know git that well I figure it out, just know the basics.
Here are my versions of the files
git-path
/home/bsleys/hobocookbook
git-version
* hobo13doc
master
Basically I don't really know what is being done here nor do I know git well
enough to debug it.
The error in the log is
fatal: ambiguous argument 'hobo13doc': unknown revision or path not in the
working tree.
Use '--' to separate paths from revisions
sh: master: not found
It's failing on
commit = `git rev-list #{head} #{filename} | head -n 1`
and debugging shows the locals vars as
filename = "manual/download.markdown"
head = "* hobo13doc\n master"
