I have tried to do something useful with Hobo 1.3 and later versions for quite
a while now.  I know that Hobo 2.0 is almost released.  I'm waiting for that to
happen.  And I'm hoping that someday the whole "Debian/Ubuntu/LinuxMint"
install process will be as easy as installing "FreeCAD" or "Evolution" from the
default package installer.  On another note, however, although I'm willing to
put up with the installation difficulties for now, I have not found any more
than one video that explains how to modify the code generated by Hobo in a
useful way.  The one video I found was also linked to on the main page of
HoboCentral.net.  And although it did intrigue me, I found it kinda fast paced
for me...and felt like I would have to do a lot of "pausing" to make sense of
it.

I know that Bryan and Tom are very busy guys.  And I appreciate your efforts.
I have tried to contact other Hobo developers for further help and training,
but have yet to see any offer of help for less than $50,000 for the project I'm
trying to do where I work.  That's never going to happen as we only employ 5
people at an average pay of $10 per hour (myself included).  My background has
been mostly in developing MSAccess custom database apps for use in either my
own job, or for computer consulting customers of mine...so I know database
theory.

My boss does not really want to hire anybody else besides me to do this
project...especially after hearing the prices!  So I'm sending this message to
see if anybody is interested in helping to "train me" to the point where I can
accomplish something useful to my company.  Anybody?

General outline:

PostGreSQL 9.1 or later
Interface to OpenERP 7.x  (Not sure when that will be released...was supposed
to be on Sept. 29, 2012)
Implement eCommerce and automatic inventory reduction in the OpenERP table(s).
Make it VERY easy to use for people who barely speak English!

I know...it's a BIG project.  I have a notion that I should just give up....but
hey...at least not until I "ask".
