I am having trouble getting Hobo up and running the initial 2 minute app.
I have tried this with Ruby v.1.9.3p194, Rails v.3.2.11
and with ree 1.8.7 with Rails v.3.2.11
Using rvm.
First attempt, getting this error when
hobo new testapp
when I get do you want to run the Setup Wizard, I answer yes
The bundles install,
I get confirmation message
"Your bundle is complete!'
but the the error
/home/jet/.rvm/gems/ree-1.8.7-2012.02/gems/execjs-1.4.0/lib/execjs/runtimes.rb:51:in
`autodetect': Could not find a JavaScript runtime. See
https://github.com/sstephenson/execjs for a list of available runtimes.
(ExecJS::RuntimeUnavailable)
Note: I did have execjs and therubyracer installed when I attempted this.
Also, I currently am running another Rails app, non-hobo with same
environment and it works fine.
So, I compiled and installed nodejs
No longer getting the following:
Your bundle is complete! Use `bundle show [gemname]` to see where a bundled
gem is installed.
/home/jet/.rvm/gems/ree-1.8.7-2012.02@global/gems/bundler-1.1.5/lib/bundler/runtime.rb:74:in
`require': no such file to load -- coffee/rails (LoadError)
Any thoughts on this? I know if is an existing issue but had not had a
problem with it until I tried to use hobo.
Also, is there a big downside to using nodejs? There seem to be some
strong opinions against it.
Thanks!
Jet
