I would also appreciate it very much if you could modify the script to that 
if someone runs it a second time, no further damage occurs to the hobo 
system.
You might accomplish this by setting an environment variable that is unique 
to your script as the last step in the script, then check for the 
variable's existence in the first part of the script so that one or more of 
the commands don't execute if the variable exists.
