Now approx 1.5 years after Ignacio motivated me to give Hobo a try, I want to confirm an answer he gave mo to one of my questions from that times, the one regarding speed: *Hobo in production done right has about the same speed as plain Rails.*
I finally migrated my own website telling (in German, sorry: http://www.informatom.com/blogposts) my software developing story in the CMS-Blog in 50 episodes to Hobo. I see server respond times of about 200ms on my dedicated server, and approx 0.5-1s client side response time and I'm more than happy with it. Everything is created on the fly (tag cloud, archive, latest links, etc) nothing is cached server side up to now. I'm using the commercial Canvas HTML 5 Theme from Themeforest here http://themeforest.net/item/canvas-the-multipurpose-html5-template/9228123 and it was so much easier to write widgets with DRYML than it was when I did similar things in ERB. Cheers and thanks to Ignacio for motivating me, Stefan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hobo Users" group.
