The timeout part meant that it took your computer connection too long
to access the page it was trying to get to and so it gave up...

The "name server" part relates, speaking very simplistically, to how
the internet translates an address. For example, each server and
computer on the net has unique identifiers, like the MAC address on
the network card and the IP address.

A page like the CNN site can be referenced by www.cnn.com or it could
also be referenced directly by the IP address for the site (if you
know what that is)...

There are translation tables that convert the "name" cnn.com into the
IP address (speaking simplistically and not entirely accurately).

Your error message meant that it took too long to get to the server
that does the translation between name and address and vice-versa.

Bottom line is that sometimes this happens when there is too much
traffic... and often all it takes is retrying again later.

Hope that was the case for you.

love and peace,
joyce
