it should BE transparent ...
that was the setting i used when making the animation ...
is it not???????

if i render it with a white background ...
the globe will transmit it and that will mess it up.
i can post-process it ... put it on a white background ...
but i purposely used "transparent" so you could use it
anywhere you want.
will see if i can get a small version for you to play with ...
and check to see if it really is transparent ...
as i say ... it already SHOULD be ...
but as we know ...
should, could, would and a buck won't even get you
a cup of coffee these daze. ;)

seeing i have it already uploaded to files ...
you could go in under "management/description and appearance ...
edit the "appearance" section ...
to link to it to show it on the home page ...
and then we will see if it is indeed transparent on
the white background of HGeek.

or make me a moderator and i will play with it there.
then we will know.

no problem.
ON the globe/bubble ...
inside ...
whatever you want to see.

well ...
i can spin a picture of Leo's man ...
but it won't be 3D ...
and any text ...
either on the bubble or inside of it.
actually ... i can simulate a better bubble
if you want ... this on was supposed to be
a glass globe ...
the only limit is imagination.

the thing is ...
the more detailed ... the larger the gif ...
so i need to keep it simple and/or small
for web pages.
and it seems i have to use at least 72 frames
to get a smooth full 360 degree rotation ...
(5 degrees/frame) and display each for 1/12 sec.
less frames/longer interval between frames ...
and it becomes jerky.
but there may be some other tricks to use ...
if both sides of the globe are the same ...
i can cheat and repeat after 180 degrees and
it will still appear to fully rotate.
we will see.

ok ...
off to find a pic or two of Leo's work ...
and will play with it this weak at the lake
when the mosquitoes drive me indoors. ;)
they are hatching by the thousands even as we
speak so i am taking in extra iron in preparation
for the loss of blood.
but hey ...
they have to eat too ...
and have kids to raise.
so i do my part.
