~~~ yes ... some are bitten less. over the years i have noticed a few things ... early in the year, like now ... they seem to be waiting for me to venture out ... and have a great feast at my expense. and the bites are irritating and itch a great deal. however ... as time goes by ... not only do they not bite as often ... but when they do ... my body has less of a reaction to them ... ie ... they don't itch much and i hardly notice. also ... if someone comes to visit ... who has not spent time in the area ... they seem to be attacted in great numbers ... mossies swarming all over them while i ... can sit right there next to them with only an occasional bite. and i've often wondered if the body somehow reacts/adjusts and provides some form of insect repellent all on it's own. also ... there is a mental facet to it i think ... an attitude ... if you don't let them bother you, they won't. one summer when they were amazingly thick ... i had a tax accessor come visit. ;( he had his clipboard and wanted to ask me many questions about improvements i had made ... etc. and i am just standing there with nothing but a pair of swimming trunks and he in shirt and tie. and the mosquitoes are SWARMING all over the dude!!!! he is swatting and slapping and flailing about while not a single mossie is bothering me. he finally couldn't take it and said he had enough info and fled!!!! ;) yup ... mosquitoes are my friends. -ts- ------------------------ Yahoo!
