yeah ...
only had this one which is not quite 180 degrees ...
but it will take a float plane and a 500k flight
to get back to that lake. ;)
we will see.

made up of 5 pics ...
and was done using the software included with the
camera ...
which is an Olympus C-2100UZ.
it takes some pratice in keeping them alighned
in the horz and in getting the exposure correct
at the beginning of the pan ... exp when there is
a lot of contrast change over the pan.

here's a tutorial on stiching in photoshop:
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/stitching.shtml

today's project ...
taking pics of the mayfly hatch ...
even tho it's july.
(perhaps mayflies time travel)
... there were MILLIONS, billions across manitoba ...
dancing in the air last evening but i had no light ...
and was actually too amazed and astounded to do any pic taking.
i have seen this dance before but never in these numbers.
beyond my abilty to describe it in words i'm afraid ...
perhaps a pic or two will help.
this is their time ...
Ephemeroptera ... "enduring but a day"
and they are going for it!
doing their thing.

today i will attempt to get them molting ...
(something crustations are familiar with) ...
as there are hundreds clinging to the window and
the side of the house during the day ...
shedding their old skins.
(all i have to do is endure the mozzies!!!)

and ...
i have another panorama shot i will attempt to curl.

for those wondering what we are talking about:

also visit:
http://km0330.keymachine.de/friedger/playground/rain/sjaderain.curl
and get rained on.

(you must have curl installed)
