Dear Friends -
Does anyone know of any software firewalls that load and run in dos at boot time?
For example, AVG and some other antivirus software has a dos execution that runs before Windows is loaded, in addition to the Windows-resident routine.
I have found that, when using dsl, between boot time and when WIndows loads and the firewall is subsequently enabled, lots of suspicious activity is taking place on the dsl line.
My workaround when using dsl is to not plug in the power to the router until after Windows loads and after the software firewall is engaged.
Doing it this way is an inconvenience, though, and i'd like to find a firewall that loads at boot time and then also runs in Windows.
Thanking you in advance.
love and peace,
joyce
