Hi holygeek,
In the interests of uber geekery I have been looking at Pelles C (it is OK - this is even too advanced for me) and also ROSasm which is the assembler used for React OS which is the developing clone of Windows NT mentioned on our web site here: http://pages.britishlibrary.net/lobster/bb/hg/ ROSasm is quite neat because it contains its source code in the program (but apparently that is to do with its still being designed nature) I was looking at another assembler called HLA which according to the ROSasm guy is written by a right wing Christian (blah blah blah) My my - such low level slandering (amongst programmers) Anyway the above is probably gibberish to some of you so . . . Just uploaded a simple 12k file called NEWS6.EXE that is my first bit of assembler hacking If you download it and run it successfully on anything other than Windows XP (it will not run on Mac or Linux) I would be interested Does not do much but pressing any option opens up a text screen . . . with C programming I printed out a program and it is as close to gibberish as ever . . . We need ASQ . . . ASQ http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/ASQ Lob ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Make a clean sweep of pop-up ads. Yahoo! Companion Toolbar.
