Hi Everyone :-)
Your help is required.
These two text books
Freeware
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/freeware
Nasrudin
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Nasrudin
are amongst several evolvements that are a direct result
of involvement from Tmxxine
However some of the (same people?) from wikipedia now wish to
remove our ASQ and Tmxxine textbooks. They may be justified in this.
I think they are rather overzealous.
If you agree that ASQ and Tmxxine should have textbooks
then please add your comments

I am in the process of simplifying ASQ it has become overly technical . . .
I've added a bit to one of the entries - in support of the Curl splash screen graphic - and will try to add something to the others.
It feels as though there is a troll selectively going after the tmxxine projects on both wiki venues, although perhaps the free PR you are getting could end up working to the advantage and furtherance of some selected projects? Time will tell.

On an unrelated matter, I've managed to fix two of the computers here, but one is still being very pesky.
It scans as virus free (using two different checkers) and spyware free (using 3 different checkers).
An engineer gave me a bootable CD of McAfee CleanBoot, which scans for and cleans more than 101,000 trojans/viruses/malwares, and there were only 4 files it had any difficulty with - and reported only that it was unable to open them at all.
This is an interesting sort of product to try, imo, because it runs before Windows loads and (as the engineer explained) it runs from what looks like dos but isn't really dos - and scans things in the pre reg.
What continues to baffle me about this particular computer is that Trillian works - so there is definitely incoming and outgoing network traffic through the router... BUT aol and FireFox and InternetExplorer do not successfully establish net connections at all. I don't understand this UNLESS it is perhaps explained that aol and FireFox and IE are timing out when trying to connect? Or maybe it is a problem with the adaptors? I checked them and removed the unnecessary ones, and fixed some weird bindings on a couple of them, to no avail. I released and renewed the TCP/IP and that made no difference. Why does one app establish connectivity and the other 3 fail?
What am i missing?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
love and peace,
joyce
