Hi Lobster, Sorry to hear burnatonce didnt work for you though glad you found something else that works well. Good to hear you checking out many of the distros. I love the idea of distros that run off cd-rom, ram & the use of usb thumbdrives. I use Debian for all my pc's though was running engrade linux on my server until the free updates ran out ;-) When I get motivated I will try out adamantix, a debian based secure distro for the server. Every once in a while I still use Knoppix running from the cdrom. Months ago I installed the x-box linux and in the process destroyed the original x-box files. At this point the only thing I can do is do a hardware mod and make it a linux only box. Eventually I will get around to this :-) My 5 year old daughter keeps me too busy to do many of my projects :-) I was glad to hear that several in the group were trying out mozilla & mozilla based firefox ( my personal favorite ) my least favorite linux browser is konqueror. I checked out the link you put op the other day on free conferences. neat! With free long distance on my cell phone ( in usa) I dont know how much I would actually use the service. I was wondering if one in the usa could dial into a local usa number while someone in the UK could use a local number there to have a single conference?? Then that would be a nice free way to talk with people on the other side of the pond :-) I use Gaim for my chatting needs though Ayttm will be my future choice when I work out how to have video chats with my yahoo buddies. Need to compile ayttm and other dependencies from source to get video working Ugh!! Ooops this is getting long. Anyway good to hear from you. Have a great day! Peace, Suleyman Ed Jason wrote:
