Hmmm...
I rebooted my laptop and the sound returned.
The pic of the dove that is embedded on the page in the poetry section has no sound.
The link named "Harbinger of Peace" in the photography section is the one that launches the dove flash image, and that is the one that has the dove calls. It now works on mine, maybe it will work on other people's?

How is it where people are today? It is cold here, but blue skies, and so i'm going on a long walk with the camera. HolyGeeks are invited to come along on the walk with me. At the mid point is a Chinese-Japanese restaurant with the best hot & sour soup - so for people who join, soup is on me. I think i owe ts a recipe for that. Perhaps they will tell me how they make it there - much better than my own version.

a soup time
One of my favourite spices is pepper
For years I would get pilau rice with these wonderful
round flavoursome balls - even when I was told
it was pepper I thought it was some exotic chilli pepper

Now add some leaks or onion
- maybe some milk
a little leftover potatoand water (do not forget water
- I have known people burn soup)and one of the best things to thicken soup?

in fact flavoured gruel (thin porridge)is an excellent soup

Oh Yum. This sounds excellent. It is cold and dark here, too. Always good time for soup. Thanks for the inspiration.
