Dear holygeek Friends

Nice Christmas?

Thanks to Joyce for the card

You're welcome.

Hey Joyce (or someone)
- how about phoning Angela - our Peace wiki support
with Skype?

I will be doing that soon :-)

Good idea. We can ask her about being able to upload swf items. Should not be an issue, as they are generally small in size - well at least the ones i have been building are.

- I am gonna make myself available on Skype over the retreat - details soon - get phoning :-)

- are you settling Joyce?

Oh, i hope not!

:)

I'm housesitting for friends Monica and Roberto while they are in Montreal and their daughters Seattle this week, so i am a nomad.

It's good to be a nomad on a peace wiki - i nomad at no one, you nomad at me... (All merit to Groucho Marx...)

We watched Shrek II - wonderful fun
- Eddie Murphy would make a great donkey for Nasrudin

Got an illuminated keyboard :-)

Is that like an illumined keyboard?

and some binoculars as presents

How fun! They should help you see Comet Machholz this week, weather and moon permitting. There's a sky chart on the space page at peace wiki. They would also be great for watching birds - herons and hawks of course. Someone sent me a link to a page showing a photo of a blue-breasted robin that had been seen in the UK, in Scotland i think?

AND NOW -

The official Linux for tmxxine

can you guess?

Will it be excellent Redhat or
the easy to use Mandrake?

Nope

the CD booting Knoppix?

Nope

Adorable.

A question: i notice a LimeWire icon on that desktop. What is LimeWire? Some info says it is snoopware, Lizzie says not... I have not been able to remove it from the yogini computer...

Speaking of seeds...i am growing a new tomato plant... My six year old tomato was a casualty of the move... It, and my asian lily, was the last thing i brought out. i told the mover the story of how old it was and how it had been nurtured for 6 years and gave up fruit year round... and when we unloaded, someone had pulled up the stakes from the pot and broken off the top several feet of the plant. It was still salvageable, but then a friend's cat munched on the rest... and so i am now seeing if the tiny bit that remains will sprout new roots or shoots... a new place, a new garden, how fun!

love and peacewiki,

joyce
