I think the text on establishing trust needs a lot of work. We had a really good discussion about this about a year or two ago that captured some of the ways you can establish trust fairly safely. I don't think the "push a button, trust everything" model is a good idea, and I don't agree that this can just be left up to the implementation, because it's really the core of HNCP security: if we get it wrong, no amount of cryptography is going to help.
