For what it's worth, I fully agree with you. This was what I meant by my earlier comment that there is a lot of valuable information in the heads of the implementors/designers that isn't written down in the drafts as they stand right now.

Remember also that this is intended to be a protocol that's being implemented and run by a lot of different vendors who do not have a great track record of writing and maintaining excellent software (to put it mildly). Any help given to them to get their implementations right is very valuable.
