When Walter died a memorial scholarship in his name was proposed. The IHS requires that a minimum of $5,000 be donated to establish a memorial scholarship. The donations at this time are at approximately $1,500. Walter's contribution to the horn world cannot be measured, and a scholarship in his name is more than fitting. I suspect that there are many who have meant to make a contribution but have just not gotten around to it. I would like to encourage you to make a contribution.
