I just picked up my horn to noodle a bit while facing a KenKen board on
the computer - played some scales, and had a strange notion that the
horn didn't sound quite right. I stuck my tongue into the mouthpiece
and got a surprise - it hit a ladybug. Kind of a sour/bitter flavor. I
can't really claim to know that ladybugs in general are sour, but this
one was - still is, I guess. It was probably hiding out in the shank of
the mp and wandered up, maybe to see what all the commotion was about.
The house is infested. If I had a quartet over, we could snack on
them. Well - be warned, in case you leave your horn out.
