>> Walter Sear, tuba player, tuba designer, helper to Mr. Moog to make the synth more user-friendly, film score guy, and 'old microphone lover' owner of Sear Sound, a WONDERFUL recording studio in NY, where I did quite a bit of work, died recently. Great great guy, many funny stories, played in Philly Orch., I believe in the 50s. Anyone know him, or also work at Sear Sound? Real "renaissance guy," as they say. Will be missed. best tom v <<
Yes, Walter will be missed, especially by aficianados of the more, shall we say, "adult" forms of motion picture entertainment. His soundtracks were known and loved by what must have been millions of people. I'm sure they'd want his to Rest In Piece. Of course there are also his tuba duets, which are a great collection of nice little pieces. -- Regards, Dave Weiner Brass Arts Unlimited _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
