Thanks Daniel!  The cd, "Arias,"  (London 452 417-2) was recorded in
Torino in late '95, the cd came out in '96.   Thank you Mr. Crott, for
such beautiful playing!    Check it out, fellow hornists,

Hi again Tom Varner and all. I got an answer from Ugo Favaro about the
horn soloist of the Teatro Regio in the 1999 recording of "Capuleti e
Montecchi". He is certain that the soloist was Giuseppe Crott (now
retired). Ugo says that he recognizes Crott's sound, and that he (Ugo)
himself played in the recording (so I wrongly said that Ugo was not
yet in that Orchestra in 1999).

I may add that Crott helped Kalison to develop a model of horn which
bears his name (but I don't think it was a great success).
