I've kept a delicious.com list for years of sites which offer facsimiles of historical interest, free scores, library collections etc. etc. etc.
http://delicious.com/scbbib/ Some links are rather old and probably dead, but there's still a wealth of information available. Quite a few national and university libraries are making their most valuable scores and other musicological resources available online.
