Well Guys and Gals,

Since Heather replyed to me and let all of the rest of you know our "little
secret"  :)  I will expand.

No No nothing like that.... get your minds out of you know where.

I have enjoyed going to the workshop that Heather and David have each summer in
Daytona Beach Fla, but I was letting her know that I would be in Las Vegas for
the semiannual Air Force Musicians convention.  For those of you that don't
know, there is an organization of former and current Air Force Band members
that get together every two years to check out and see "who is still alive" and
who still has at least some chops.  Me, I am still alive, but the chops????

This will be my first time attending this convention, so I will try and post
some of the "going ons" here.  I am sure that there must be other horn players
out there that did some of their "time" in an AF band.

So not guys DON'T think something FUNNY is going on between Heather and I.  She
is to young and I am to old.  :)

If any of you are going to be at the AF convention, let me know so we can hook
up.

Oh yes,  and for those of you that have never been to one of David and Heathers
horn camps,  it is really fun.  Check it out

Thanks

hi,

Sounds like you'll be having fun. Are you playing again???? Las Vegas is great.
I absolutely love it. It's one of those "only in America" places. Where are you
staying? I have stayed at the Luxor and Rio but been in all of the strip
establishments. There some really good restaurants in Vegas. I've eaten in tons
of them but can't remember any names!

It is unlikely I'll turn up at any regional workshops unless I happen to be in
the US at the time. And that is even more unlikely as I am only there at
Christmas and in the dead of summer.  I won't be on the advisory council
anymore after this symposium but depending on where the next IHS conference is,
I might attend. Has a lot to do with timing, finances and location (in that
order).

We play Daytona year by year. Right now, the attendance is low. I've put out
another message on the horn email lists so hopefully we might garner a couple
more. No matter who we choose to come as instructors they don't seem to do a
very good job getting people there. Most show up because I have blanketed as
much of the horn world as I can with information.

I'm off to FL on July 12 (after David's Lugano workshop this week) then on to
Australia July 14. I come back on July 27 to hopefully recuperate for a couple
days then on to the next workshop. This is a lousy summer.
Work....work....work. I bought my airline tickets for Christmas yesterday and
can hardly wait. That's about the first real vacation I'll have in 12 months!

Best,
Heather

Hi Gal,

Wish I could be with you guys this year, but I will be in Las Vegas.  I joined
the Air Force Musicians Association this last year, and they are having their
convention In Las Vegas this year.  I am hoping to run into some old Air Force
buddies, plus I have never been to Las Vegas.

I will miss seeing you, but maybe at one of the regional work shops??

Have fun for me.
