Hi Wendell, Well GAIL WILLIAMS would be one of my choices, and I have just heard and seen the most wonderful video of the Mahler 3rd with the Lucerne Festival orchestra with principal horn ALESSIO ALLERGINI. Incredible horn playing. Another would be the retired principal of Los Angles Phil... I think he is retired... WILLIAM LANE. I don't think either of those last two players have been part of the soloist before.

I'm looking for people who live or were born in those countries. This isn't a poll or a contest. I am just trying broaden my horizons a bit. You will have to wait for the overall announcement of artists. This is NOT a contest. The symposium is starting to shape up and it will be lots of fun and full of great performances and presentations. I will have some info up on my web site in a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure when advance registrations will start- probably about October 1. I do want to encourage those of you who are planning to come to register in advance because you will save money and advance registrations help us with cash flow. Escape the heat next summer in SF!
