HI Wilbert,
I assume that by re-plating you mean a valve rebuild which is very
labor intensive. Our price for a "rebuild is $175.00 a valve. If your
talking about just a nickel plating alone the price would be $75.00 a valve.
A plating alone would not give you a close tolerance fit that would be
needed to restore your horn to a top notch playing condition.

Does anyone know of a good repair shop that will do horn valve re-plating
for for Under 1,000? I have a nice German made horn that needs this done,
but it's not worth the price some very good people charge.
