The assistant sits to the left of the principal, except in Vienna, where the
ass. sits to the principals right, as the principal sits to the right of the
second player also (Viennese sitting order).

Reason: principal & second horn have to sit next each other as they have duo
solo quite often or 2-voice-passages of quite some importance. If the ass. sits
between principal & 2nd, it would not make sense, but it would hinder a perfect
union of 1st & 2nd horn during soli.

Further: it is easier to signal to the ass. to take over or sneak into a held
long note in emergency situations.
