I've come in late. and missed the
original posting.

I wince when I read that the throats
of some musicians swell out when
blowing. What long term damage is
being caused?

But if someone has a throat problem
of an unusual kind, my own first line
of treatment would be to attend an
osteopath or a chiropractor.

Within seconds we would know if
the problem was one for us or
one for the medical doctor or
rarely even a surgeon.

If for one of the manipulative professions,
treatment is usually easy, quick and
effective.

Very few, indeed if any, doctors are fully aware
of what these very similar therapies can do.

Whichever way, have it checked out by one
of these two professional systems..

And NEVER forget, we hornists while
well meaning are not trained medical
experts. Regard all medical advice in
this List with such cautions in mind.

Although I myself have been in full time
hospital and private practice since 1968,
effectively treating many throat problems.

But sadly rarely improving many top c''s.
Least of all my own!

My throat doesn't swell when I attempt top
d''s but my EYES do!
Actually they turn inwards. Ouch!
English humour. And spelling.
