Hi Dan, now I remember that you wrote about this project. It's very  
interesting to look at those famous players and their so different  
playing settings. But I thought there were recordings, which I can't  
find.

You should correct the first name of Mr. Bianchini, which should be  
"Giuseppe" (the Italian for Joseph), not Giuseppi or Giusepi. Apart  
from that, I never heard about him and wonder how he got interviewed.  
Surely there were in Florence more representative players at that  
time, first of all my first teacher Pasqualino Rossi, principal horn  
of the Orchestra del Maggio. This was and is the main orchestra here,  
while the "Orchestra di Palazzo Pitti" must have been a provisional  
group, gathered for some summer concert in the garden of the Medici's  
palace.
