The horn players of the Vienna Philharmonic for the New Year Concert 2011 were:
1st row left to right: Lars-Michael Stransky (playing assistant), Manuel Huber (middle, the new assigned somewhat over 20-years old new other principal, hired as 4rth horn a year or two ago !!!) and Sebastian Mair (right, 2nd horn) 2nd row from left: Wolfgang Vladar (3rd) & Wolfgang Tomboeck (4rth, former senior principal, on first chair for over 30 years !!!) All five of them playing beautifully elegant.
