Hi Larry, Are you a leader or a follower? I mean that in the nicest way. Playing 2nd is all about playing with the 1st, never mind the range, solo opportunities etc. If you'd rather play neat solos (Organ Symphony for instance) choose 3rd. If you'd rather try to match (in every way) the 1st, choose 2nd. I've always preferred the challenge of 2nd myself.
