My guess: medium throated belled nickel silver; with small bored mpc. (this
is
reported to be incorrect). How can one hear a wrap? Beats me!

Okay folks, thanks for turning this simple experience of listening to a
dynamite
high school horn player into a train wreck on this list. The next time someone
wants to share the playing of a talented youth, consider that even the average
amateur can offer the criticism that many of you did. But, what you missed
was
the context of this experience. This was a young person playing
enthusiastically and inspired, with an audience reaction that showed it was
wowed by the performance. Then Valerie was making this into a fun quiz.

Sandra had it right. You couldn't simply enjoy the experience of listening to
this fine horn player and guessing the equipment. The one comment about the
dent on the horn that was so deep and so long was fine and in context to this
experience; commenting on intonation, etc, was not, as 90% of the readers on
this list could have made your comments; plus, you are not this student's horn
instructor. I note that very few of you ventured to guess the horn as Valerie
was asking. Didn't want to take a risk of being shown to be wrong, huh?
