It is one of 11 pieces, Opus 35 that Gliere wrote for various solo instruments ( Violin, Clarinet, Flute, Horn, Oboe, Cello) Two of the pieces: Intermezzo and Nocturne are for horn and piano. Written about 1880. I think that they may have been for students at the conservatory of music in Moscow. Regards. ********************************* Gliere was born in 1875. _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/bgross%40airmail.ne t _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
