Peter, I don't know the answer to your question, but do you know of the new Brain biography that's just been published? (Dennis Brain: A Life in Music). It was written with Pettitt's encouragement. If you're going to the Symposium in San Francisco, the book will be available at the one-time special price of $16.00 and one of the co-authors, Bill Lynch, who's presenting a program on hitherto unknown recordings of Brain, will be signing the books.

If so, could you let me know if it is the revised edition from the 80's or the original 1976 one? It would only make sense that is the revised one, but I can't tell from any of the information on the Faber website. Any comments on what the revisions/additions in the 2nd edition amount to would also be welcome. Thanks in advance, Peter Hirsch _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/glick%40unt.edu _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
