Hi Lew,

Does your horn have a screw bell? If so, you could get a case that would fit 
the airlines' standards for carry-on luggage, and wouldn't have to worry about 
getting your horn bashed up. As for people hearing you practicing, you could 
use a practice mute (some of them are quite effective, even quieter than if you 
were just buzzing on your mouthpiece alone!). Or, if neither of these is an 
option, you could just bring your mouthpiece and buzz regularly to keep your 
chops in shape. Not too sure about your fingers but I've never found that to be 
too big an issue; I'd be more concerned about my lips, if anything! Hope this
