Regarding the most recent round of flames and attacks which have been tossed around on this list.
If I wanted to watch folks behave like spoiled children, I would watch C-SPAN. At least I get a chance to vote the bums out every couple of years. Have we all forgotten the basics of manners and netiquette? If you want to berate a person for his/her post on a public forum, you do it IN PRIVATE. (And yes, I used all caps for a reason.) No one likes to be the public butt of your bad temper. Would you behave the same way if you were standing right in front of the other person? Probably not. The email addresses of all posters are in the headers, and most of us (not all) are considerate enough to put our contact information in our signatures. If you really don't have anything to say that enhances a discussion in either direction, please send your smacks to the original person, not the list. Remember that there is a live body at the other end of the electrons. Please treat him/her with the respect you would like to receive yourself. I will continue to do as always -- delete messages and/or posted I just don't want to read. And yes, that includes any public responses to this email.
