Oh, I meant to ask if you knew the maker 'Ganter'? I recently tried out a
Ganter double made in the early 1980s that I loved, but I didn't have the money
for it at the time. Also, it looked very similar to the Pizka horn in terms of
the mechanical linkages and mother of pearl valve post 'screws'. Ken Pope said
there were only two of them that he knew of, so maybe you knew something about
them?

Thank you!

-William

Yes, William, IMSL is a good source, but it includes all the misprintings, and

one has the hassle of

putting all the outprints together before playing instead of investing in ones

own library.

Yes, I agree, it is lost time to start beginners with "the fingerings" and it
is

wrong, as they will

stick on the fingering method for lifetime, wasting valuable time, and not to

talk about their future troubles with transposing etc.

expect them to learn. They should think along the harmonics of the instrument,

and know them well. Plus, if they know the harmonics, they will never have to

ask for the fingerings.
