Daniel, a good expression here is, "There is no zealot like a convert." Ms. Wells has found great success with the approach she espouses, and her enthusiasm is, no doubt, completely sincere. I think she's gotten the message from this thread on the list that a bit less would be considered more appropriate behavior by many of us, and I therefore think it's time we give her the room to digest what's been said and change her behavior here.
For me, I now say "basta" to the entire conversation, both pro and con, on this subject. I hope we return to arguing about other things instead. :) -S- On Tue, Aug 16, 2011 at 1:57 PM, Daniel Canarutto <daniel.canaru...@unifi.it> wrote: > Paul, I agree completely with this viewpoint (as I also wrote > privately to Bill). > By now the list is continuously bombarded with this stuff, I'd call it > (euphemism) commercial advertising by Mrs.Wells, which could be > acceptable just once in a while but... she seems to be trying to make > the list accept the notion that it is a crucial issue of horn playing. > Hey, there are even folks who begin to wonder, about some player, if > he uses it or not.
