The idea of getting some high quality horns and some stock studend models is possible. I would keep in mind that this is likely to create some situations in which the students will see others as having special status, or will be envious, or whatever.
On another note... When I was a freshman in high school, the band teacher purchased a brand new, gorgeous, luscious Holton double...just for me. Then, out of the blue, my dad took a new job in a nearby town, and we packed up and moved. A year or so later, I played in a school district joint concert, and met the student at my previous school who was playing 'my' horn. It was just about destroyed...all dented and banged up.
