Hi, Surely if a trombonist has to be taught an acronym for assembly of said trombone, there is little point in him carrying on if he can't even put it together. (Are these slide-guys the Viola Dept. of the brass world?)

The most common sense I ever learnt for stave markings and Sharps/Flats are as follows - common sense because you have to learn only one poem for each - the reverse uses the same/similar wording and sense.
