Our music faculty has an "entertainment" recording, but the sad thing is it's a really bad trumpet recital. Just to show you how much our former trumpet professor thought of it, at an International Trumpet workshop (or it could've been national) he played this tape at a banquet with all these professional trumpet players there. Everyone almost fell out of their chairs laughing.
I was told this story too BEFORE I heard the audition tape. And, when I heard it I pretty much understood what was so funny. The poor guy who was performing it didn't even know how bad it was, and he was very serious through the whole thing, so you had to admire his effort. Let's just say that the TUNING NOTE was missed about 5 times before he found it and it went downhill from there. I think the only thing worse are the Tastee brothers.
