Heretofore, after wading through 26 posts entitled "horn in C#" over 
two digests, only to find out FINALLY from the original poster that 
the composer was Elliot Carter: I nominate "horn in C#" as the 
stupidest thread of year 2003.

"horn in C#" showcased a vague question, hostile replies, complete 
abandonment of the original purpose, invoking the thinking process of 
a conductor, transcontinental "blah, blah, blahing," and I couldn't 
conceive a better punchline--> "The piece is by Elliott Carter and 
entitled by "a symphony of three orchestras"
it is a new age piece written in 1967."

Bravo!
