I've been playing on a new Conn 8D for almost two years now, and I'm happy with it. The high range is remarkably open and free, on both sides of the horn. I have no trouble playing up to high C on the F side if I want to. There is one down side to the horn. The 3rd valve slide on the Bb side is too loose and tends to slip out. Somebody needs to start making sure those slides fit properly.
