On Friday I will be playing the Mozart Wind Serenades in Preston. The programme has been printed by someone from the venue and lists the instruments: 2 oboes; 2 clarinets; 2 bassoons and 2 hors. Should be an interesting gig! ************ This is clearly an authentic performance. I remember that Lowell G told me that au naturel hornists in Mozart's time favored instruments with painted belles.
