Greetings all -- Yes, this is a scam. I know because I was similarly victimized, and although I can't say for sure, I think this is the same person who scammed me.
Last year I bid on a horn, the seller of which was located in Houston TX, just like this one. Payment was made via money order sent via registered mail. Well, to make a long story short the seller, a woman (I note the seller's ebay ID is "kninjaGAL") never sent anything. I pursued the matter via the court system, and a detective in Houston was put on the case since she had scammed at least a half dozen others similarly. I got lucky because when she cashed the money order, someone at the establishment recognized her, so they had a positive ID. The detective and DA in Houston explained to me it is difficult to prove internet fraud, because you basically have to prove that the person was at the computer typing the criminal strokes on a keyboard. In any case, since this was not her first offense, she ended up doing 3 months in the slammer. Restitution was made, so I was very, very lucky. Of course she's out now..... I am going to contact the detective who worked on my case. Doubt he'll be able to do anything, since no crime has been committed (yet). I'll be willing to bet this is the same individual.
