Isnt the a2 a bit flat when played as open Bb-horn note , while the g2 is nicely sharp & the f2 again a bit flat (could be bettered with Bb-side + 1) ============================================================ ==

I can't tell from your email what you like better about that fingering. I typically finger the C, D and E open, and similiarly finger the F, G, and A open on the Bb horn. Those notes have always seemed equally in tune on my horns using either fingering. The valve change can sometimes help with a particular articulation, though, especially when all three notes are played in a fast series. _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/hans%40pizka.d e _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
