Hi Dave, I am waiting now for some proof myself... a reputable eyewitness. The possible explanation to me is just cold hard cash. The emails I saw were talking about one piece bells being bimetal and then sprayed to look like they were all red~brass (rose brass, gold brass). Maybe there is a huge cost difference between the two metals to make it worth while, over a thousand horns, to make the throats out of yellow brass. This is something I can't really comment on because I have never seen one.
